We invite you for a ZEELUCHT (sea breeze) beach walk in IJmuiden on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. This afternoon, fragrance designer Frank Bloem will take you on a sensory journey along the North Sea coast for a renewed encounter with the North Sea and your own nose.
ZEELUCHT is a new and exclusive scent artwork, developed by fragrance designer Frank Bloem, commissioned by the Embassy of the North Sea. Like a brisk stroll along the North Sea coastline, ZEELUCHT is a crisp, refreshing scent of pine, beach grass, algae and dune rose. Made with real North Sea water, the trained nose will also detect hints of horse fig and a delicate breeze of tar in the background. Experience how these scents unfold with every step. This scent composition is the result of Bloems’ multi-year sea air research for which he collected 40 scents from and around the North Sea.

— Please arrange your own transport to IJmuiden (the IJmuiderstrand car park is within walking distance).
— In case of bad weather or restrictive Covid-measures the walks will be canceled.
