Jan van de Venis is ‘Ombudsperson Future Generations’, Human Rights Lawyer and Rights of Nature expert at JustLaw, a niche law firm that focuses on how the law can work for sustainable development and the brightest possible future for all life. He is a UN Harmony with Nature expert, explained Rights of Nature in his TEDTalk ‘Who owns Nature?’, is chairman of the Dunes of Texel National Park and director/co-founder of NGOs such as Stand Up For Your Rights and FossielvrijNL. He is also a special guest lecturer in human rights at various universities, UN bodies and institutes such as Clingendael.
